A woman constable committed suicide by hanging herself at the NDRF headquarters in Ladowal, Ludhiana. The Ladowal police station is investigating the case as it is suspicious. The woman constable tied her dupatta to the fan and hanged herself. The name of the deceased employee is Simranjit Kaur (25). According to the information, the incident came to light when the woman did not reach her duty and her senior officer went to her room to see her.
The door did not open even after knocking for a long time. After which the officers broke the door by pushing it and entered inside. The officers saw that the woman constable was hanging from the fan with the help of a dupatta. They immediately informed the police of Ladowal police station.
The police reached the spot and took the body in their possession kept it in the mortuary of the civil hospital and informed her family members. After the arrival of the family members today, her body will be handed over to the family after postmortem.
According to ASI Major Singh, the deceased is a resident of Chhabbar village of Mansa. She came on duty at the NDRF headquarters in Ludhiana on 7 September 2024 where she committed suicide by hanging herself from the fan in the room.
According to the investigating officer, at present no suicide note has been recovered from the room and around the body of the deceased. Which can reveal the reasons for her death. Today, on Wednesday, after the arrival of the family members of the deceased, statements will be recorded and further action will be taken after conducting the postmortem.
