Chandigarh: In a major reshuffle in Punjab, Punjab Government has transferred total 9 police officers including 8 IPS officers and 1 PPS officer. The transfer order has come after the completion of the Lok sabha elections.
IPS Swapan Sharma and IPS Kuldeep Chahal have again been appointed as Commissioner of Police Jalandhar and Commissioner of Police Ludhiana respectively. Earlier in wake of elections, both were transferred to election-based duties. Swapan Sharma will take place of IPS Rahul S and Kuldeep Chahal will take place of IPS Nilabh Kishore.
IPS Nilabh Kishore has now been posted as ADGP, STF Punjab SAS Nagar whereas IPS Rahul S has been posted as Director of Vigilance Bureau Punjab, SAS Nagar.
The order also said that IPS Gurpreet Singh Bhullar shall report to DGP Punjab as his posting orders will be issued separately. It is also said that the concerned offers are directed to join the new place of posting with immediate effect.
