Former Councilor and Woman in Muktsar Subjects to Violent Attack

Brother of former councilor Dhanraj said that when he heard noise in the street, he came out.

Punjab: In the Malout assembly constituency of Muktsar district of Punjab, a person attacked a former councilor and a woman washing clothes outside her house with sharp weapons and seriously injured them. Since the condition of both of them is critical, they have been referred to Bathinda. After committing this incident the said accused fled from the spot.

According to the information, when Shiromani Akali Dal councilor from ward number 17 Vijay Kumar alias Dandru had come out of the house for some work, a person who was already waiting outside the house attacked him with a sharp weapon. Due to which he was seriously injured.

Giving the above information, the brother of former councilor Dhanraj said that when he heard noise in the street, he came out. On this he saw that the attacker had a sword in his hand and after injuring his brother Vijay, he also attacked and injured Seema Rani, a woman living in their neighborhood who was washing clothes in the street, thinking that she was Vijay’s wife. Did it and ran away. Both of them covered in blood were admitted to the Civil Hospital, from where both were referred to Bathinda.

Regarding this attack, Shiromani Akali Dal’s urban chief Ashok Kumar Bajaj, while talking to journalists, said that the attack on Shiromani Akali Dal leader and former councilor Vijay Kumar alias Dandru is the result of political rivalry.
