Man commits murder of friend under influence of alcohol in Adampur

At present, the police have not been able to recover the sharp object used in the murder.

Jalandhar: In Adampur, Punjab, a drunk labourer killed his own colleague by attacking him with a sharp object. The deceased has been identified as Anand Guria, a resident of Mahadipur, West Bengal. The police has arrested the accused Ramrai Champai. An FIR has been registered against Ramrai under various sections including murder in Adampur police station. The accused is being questioned. At present, the police have not been able to recover the sharp object used in the murder.

According to the information received, the police have registered this FIR on the statements of landlord Hardeep Singh. The deceased Anand Guria used to work for landlord Hardeep Singh in Adampur. The accused used to work for another landlord in Adampur. Both of them had gone to drink alcohol together on Sunday night. The accused drank alcohol in Adampur itself and then there was an argument between the two over something. After which Anand was murdered with a sharp object.

The accused had attacked Anand several times on his chest and neck. When Anand did not come to work on Monday morning, a search was started. Then it was found that Anand had been murdered. The police were immediately informed about the matter. After investigating the case, the police registered a case of murder against the accused Ramrai and arrested him late last night i.e. Monday.
