Man found dead in Jalandhar, severe cold conditions suspected

The deceased could not be identified as no documents were found from him.

Jalandhar: The cold has taken a terrible form in Punjab. Due to this not only animals and birds but also humans are facing problems. Yesterday i.e. on Friday, a person died due to severe cold in Jalandhar. The deceased could not be identified.

Due to this the body has been taken into custody and sent to the Civil Hospital of Jalandhar for post-mortem. At present, the body will remain in the mortuary of the Civil Hospital for 72 hours. If no one comes for 72 hours, then the police will get the said person cremated.

The body of the said person has been recovered from the new grain market falling in the area of ​​​​Police Station Division Number-2. When people saw the body of the unconscious person lying there, immediately the information about the matter was given to the police control room. After which the police of Police Station Number-2 reached the spot for investigation.

Sub Inspector Gulshan Kumar said that an attempt was made to identify the body from the people around, but nothing was found. SI Gulshan Kumar said- The deceased’s age is around 30 to 35 years. No documents have been recovered from him yet. Nor were there any marks on the body. In the preliminary investigation, the cause of death seems to be cold.
