In the City One area of Abohar, a young man raped a 20-year-old domestic worker. The victim has also accused the accused’s family of collusion. The victim said that her father is a laborer. She herself works in people’s houses. Four days ago, she had gone to work in a neighbouring house.
As per her, a young man raped her. During this, she fainted. After regaining consciousness after about an hour, she went home and informed her family about the incident. The victim’s family complained to the village panchayat. The Panchayat called both the parties. The sarpanch and the family members proposed marriage of the victim to the accused’s family.
But the accused’s family did not agree. After this, the victim’s family admitted her to the hospital. According to Akshay, the hospital pharmacist, the victim’s medical test has been done. Doctor Sakshi has made a PI and sent it to the police station.
Police station in-charge Promila Rani, and SI Rajveer are investigating the case. Police said that action would be taken on the basis of the victim’s statements.
