In a shocking incident reported in Punjab’s Mansa, a person sleeping outside his house was killed with a sharp weapon late on Sunday night. The incident took place in Phoolonwala Dogra village. As soon as the information of the incident was received, the Budhlada police reached the spot and took the body into custody. The police is investigating the matter. The deceased has been identified as Labh Singh. He was posted in Jagraon as a cashier in LIC.
In the statement registered, Family members said that Labh Singh was sleeping outside the house. At that time, some unknown person attacked him. When the family members woke up at around 5 in the morning, Labh Singh’s body was lying on the cot soaked in blood. After this, the police was informed about the incident.
The villagers said that till date Labh Singh’s family has never quarreled with anyone. He was a very good man. His family is respected in the village. DSP Manjit Singh Aulakh said that Labh Singh was to retire on 31st July. Based on the statement of the son, a case has been registered against unknown persons.
