Amritsar: After becoming a minister in the BJP government in Delhi, Manjinder Singh Sirsa today reached Amritsar Golden Temple to pay obeisance. During this, while talking to the media, he made a scathing attack on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and raised questions on the policies of the Punjab government. Sirsa said that he has reached the Golden Temple today to receive the blessings of the Gurus.
Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that those who have ruined Delhi are now taking Punjab on the same path. He raised the question that what right does Manish Sisodia have to come to Punjab and roam around in schools. Expressing concern over the financial condition of Punjab, he said that the state is drowned in huge debt.
At the same time, Manjinder Singh Sirsa clarified that BJP will contest the elections alone in Punjab. After this it has become clear that BJP is not in the mood to form an alliance with Akali Dal right now.
Question on Rajya Sabha seats and Sikh representation
Sirsa alleged that Bhagwant Mann is sending his leaders from Delhi to Punjab. He said that first Rajya Sabha seats were snatched, there was no Sikh minister in Delhi for 12 years, and now a pretense is being made to give representation to Sikhs. He also questioned why Raghav Chadha was given a Rajya Sabha seat from Delhi? Who gave Sandeep Pathak the right to rule Punjab?
Accused of contesting Delhi elections with Punjab’s money
Sirsa made a serious allegation against AAP and said that Punjab’s money was used for Delhi elections. He said that Kejriwal government took an additional loan of Rs 1.25 lakh crore, which was used for election campaigning in Delhi and Kejriwal’s planes were flown.
Mention of travel agent scam
Sirsa alleged that a big network of illegal travel agents is operating in Punjab, but no action is being taken against them because they are connected with the leaders of Aam Aadmi Party. He said that people’s capital worth lakhs and crores has been lost, but travel agents are roaming around in big cars.
Accused of attacking Punjabi language and culture
Sirsa accused the AAP of destroying Punjabi culture. He said that in the last 12 years, the recruitment of Punjabi teachers in Delhi was stopped, compulsory subjects were removed, and the tradition of having a Punjabi stenographer with every minister was abolished.
Sirsa said that the agenda of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is development and transparency. He assured that full account will be taken of the money looted by the AAP government.
