Mann Govt’s Big Decision: Tehsildars and others to ensure presence in government offices

Along with officials of the Tehsil Office, DCs were also instructed to ensure the presence of officers in the tehsil offices.

Punjab Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has taken a big decision in the interest of the common public. Punjab Govt directed all Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars to ensure their presence in government offices from 9 am to evening. Along with officials of the Tehsil Office, DCs were also instructed to ensure the presence of officers in the tehsil offices.

Instructions have also been issued to make alternative arrangements at vacant stations, so that registration work is not affected and common public don’t suffer.

Govt issued instructions as it came to the notice that sometimes Sub Registrar/Joint Sub Registrar are not available in Tehsils/Sub Tehsils, due to which the general public has to face difficulty in getting their properties registered.

The letter issued also highlighted that wherever a Tehsildar or Naib Tehsildar is not posted, the work of registry is given to Tehsildar or Naib Tehsildar of a neighboring Tehsil/Sub Tehsil.
