Central agencies are in action regarding the terrorist attack on the house of former Punjab BJP chief and former cabinet minister Manoranjan Kalia. Central security agency NIA has detained 1 suspect from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh in the case. The NIA team is currently interrogating the said accused.
According to sources, Punjab Police teams have not been able to find any main link in the case of the grenade throwing at Kalia’s house. Before the Punjab Police could solve this case, central security agencies have detained a main link from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh.
Sources have revealed that the accused detained by the central agencies is the main link in the main case, whose links have been found with terrorists. Some digital devices have also been taken into custody by the central agency. No clear information has been revealed at the moment. NIA will soon share information in this matter.
According to the information received, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) had arrested a person from Punjab in the Chandigarh Sector 10 grenade attack case. He played an important role in the entire conspiracy hatched by foreign BKI terrorists. The accused was identified as Abhijot Singh, a resident of Gurdaspur (Punjab).
Abhijot was on NIA remand for the last five days. His remand ended today i.e. on 12 April. Abhijot was already in jail for a grenade attack on another police station. NIA brought the said accused for interrogation and arrested him.
According to sources, Abhijot was in links with Khalistani terrorist Happy Pasia. He was produced in court on 7 April and taken on remand. His remand will end today. During the interrogation of Abhijot, NIA has also received major inputs on many other grenade attacks in Punjab, due to which it is preparing to take major action on this soon.
