Central agencies are in action regarding the terrorist attack on the house of former cabinet minister, former Punjab BJP chief, and national BJP executive member Manoranjan Kalia last night. Central security agency NIA may soon come to investigate the matter. According to sources, security agencies have started collecting evidence in the case, so that a proper investigation can be done in the case.
Sources related to Punjab Police have revealed that two other accused have also been arrested from Delhi in the case. Both the accused have been arrested from Delhi. Jalandhar City Police teams have left for Delhi in this regard. However, no exact statement has been issued by Punjab Police regarding this.
Kalia said, “It was visible in the CCTV that the said accused had come with a disheveled face. Even today, various leaders are reaching to meet Kalia. In some time, the accused arrested tomorrow, i.e. Tuesday, will be produced in the court and taken on remand.
Let us tell you that the accused, who came on a rented e-rickshaw, threw a hand grenade at the former minister’s house on the intervening night of 7-8 April at around 1.03 am. CCTV footage of the entire incident was revealed. At the time of the incident, former minister Manoranjan Kalia was present in his house with his family.
Jalandhar police arrested 2 grenade throwers within 12 hours. The accused were identified as Ravinder Kumar resident of Subhana Road, Gadha (Jalandhar) and Satish alias Kaka alias Lakka, resident of Bhargava Camp (Jalandhar). After interrogating both of them, the police arrested two other accused from Delhi.
