Meteorological Departments issues yellow alert in Punjab: Strong winds and rain expected

Due to heavy rain in many areas, the temperature has dropped by 5-6 degrees. According to the information issued by the Meteorological Department, there will be a yellow alert on May 12 and there is a high possibility of moderate to heavy rain.


Heavy rains also lashed various areas of neighboring states of Punjab late night.

2.2 mm in Shimla, 1.2 mm in Sundernagar, Buttar 8.6mm , Una 18.8mm, Manali 1.1mm and Juberhatti 10.5mm rain was recorded.

Maximum rainfall has been recorded in Sirsa of Himachal.

Rain made the weather pleasant in neighboring cities including Bathinda, Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur of Punjab. Due to this, there were clouds throughout the day in Punjab and relief from the scorching heat.
