Khanna: An accident took place at SG Metal and Steel India Private Limited located at village Shahpur on Amloh Road in Khanna. A young man got burnt due to an electric shock. This accident occured when he was turning on the switch. Seeing the condition of the young man, he was brought to Khanna Civil Hospital, from where he was referred to Rajindra Hospital Patiala. The injured has been identified as Rahul Yadav (21) resident of Uttar Pradesh.
Rahul Yadav said that he hails from Uttar Pradesh and has been working in the said factory in Khanna for a year. He was trying to turn on the switch in the factory in the morning. Then there was a short circuit and he got a severe electric shock. At the time of the accident, many other workers were standing next to him and immediately he was rushed to Hospital.
Dr. Frankie, posted on emergency duty at the Civil Hospital, said that the condition of the young man is stable. However due to severe burns, he was first given first aid at Khanna Civil Hospital. Medicine was applied to the burnt area. He was referred to Rajindra Hospital Patiala for further treatment. The hospital administration had also informed the police about this incident.
