Mohali: Lintel collapsed of 3-storey under construction building; one died, three injured

A case will be registered against the responsible people when the police officers come face to face.

Mohali: A major accident has happened in Mohali, Punjab. One person died after the lintel of the second floor of the showroom under construction collapsed here. At the same time, three people were seriously injured. The deceased has been identified as Jaswinder Singh (41).

As soon as the information about the incident was received, police and administration officials reached the site. The police are investigating the matter. At the same time, the administration is trying to find out how this accident happened. A case will be registered against the responsible people when the police officers come face to face.

According to the information, showrooms were being built in TDI City Sector-118 in Mohali. Here the lintel of the second floor was being put from the first floor. 8 people including people and masons were working on the site. Then suddenly the lintel fell. During this, panic spread on the site. Some people got buried under the debris. After this, people were evacuated with the help of JCB. Where doctors declared Jaswinder dead. At the same time, other injured were discharged from the hospital after treatment.

This is the third case of an under-construction building collapsing in Tricity. Earlier, on 21 December, a building collapsed in Sohana, Mohali. Two people died in this. Abhishek from Ambala and a young woman from Himachal were among them. After this, on 6 January, a 50-year-old multi-story building collapsed in Sector-17, Chandigarh.
