In a major action against the Khalistani terror network, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Sunday arrested Ludhiana resident Kashmir Singh Galvadi from Motihari in Bihar.
Galvadi was among the six criminals who escaped from Punjab’s Nabha jail in 2016 and is also the main accused in the rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) attack on the Punjab Police Intelligence office in Mohali in 2022.
The arrested terrorist Galvadi is a close associate of Babbar Khalsa’s international terrorist Harvinder Singh alias Rinda. According to the NIA, he was not only involved in conspiracies but was also providing shelter, logistical support, and funding to the terrorist network.
The NIA special court had declared him a fugitive and announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh on his arrest.
The NIA took over the case in August 2022. In which the role of terrorist organizations like Babbar Khalsa, Khalistan Liberation Force and International Sikh Youth Federation came to the fore. Investigation revealed that these organisations also had links with organised crime gangs and they were bringing terrorist weapons and explosives from Pakistan to India.
