Mohali: Speeding auto hit 7-year-old girl, died

Mohali: In tragic news, a seven-year-old girl died after being hit by a speeding auto in Mohali. A 7-year-old Aaradhya was crossing the road near a park in a residential area of ​​Sector-69 when a speeding auto hit her. The injured girl died during treatment in the hospital. The Phase 8 police station has registered a case under relevant criminal sections against the auto driver. The driver of the auto has been identified as Lovepreet Singh, a resident of Muktsar.

In his complaint to the police, Baldev Singh, grandfather of the deceased girl said that he retired from PWD Himachal. His son is posted as a Commandant in the Indian Coast Guard, Visakhapatnam, while his daughter-in-law lives in a rented house in Sector 69, Mohali with two children.

On Wednesday evening, he had gone for a walk in the park in front of his house with his 9-year-old granddaughter and 7-year-old granddaughter Aaradhya.

As soon as Aaradhya started crossing the road outside the park, a speeding auto hit her. Aaradhya suffered a head injury in this accident. She was admitted to a nearby private hospital for treatment, where the girl died during treatment.
