Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu is on a tour of Kerala with his family these days. There he experienced organic farming while visiting Wayanad district. Sidhu shared a video related to this trip on social media and praised the organic farming system of Kerala.
Navjot Singh Sidhu shared the video of his tour on his social media. In which he described Wayanad as the future of Indian agriculture and wrote – There are organic farming zones here, where farming is done without any pesticides. There is a diversity in crops, which includes crops like ginger, betel nut, banana, sweet potato, spices, sago and robusta coffee.
The problem of burning stubble is solved here
Sidhu also praised the Wayanad model on the problem of burning stubble. He told that here stubble is used as animal fodder instead of burning it. Also, the environment remains pollution free and clean due to the facility of mechanized stubble collection by the Municipal Corporation.
25% increase in farmers’ income
Sidhu said that this agricultural model is increasing the income of farmers by 25%. Describing this model of Wayanad as an inspiration for the whole country, Sidhu wrote, “This path will take India’s agriculture to new heights.”
It is worth noting that Navjot Sidhu’s wife Navjot Kaur Sidhu has recently recovered after getting treatment for cancer. She changed her lifestyle and adopted organic food and also gave this message to the people. There was a lot of controversy over Navjot Singh Sidhu’s diet plan and doctors opposed it.
On which Navjot Singh Sidhu called the treatment of doctors paramount and advised to adopt diet along with treatment. Sidhu called the organic model of Wayanad an inspiration for the whole country and called it the way of the future.
