New Year gift to Ludhiana residents, CM Mann flags off machinery worth Rs. 19 crores for municipal corporation

Chief Minister declared today as a historic day for Ludhiana city as this machinery will help in ensuring the cleanliness of Ludhiana city.

Ludhiana: Making a big effort to make Ludhiana clean, green and pollution free, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann today flagged off the machinery costing Rs 19 crore for Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister declared today as a historic day for Ludhiana city as this machinery will help in ensuring the cleanliness of Ludhiana city. He said that it is the need of the hour to make the city clean, green and pollution free. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the state government is making all possible efforts to improve the city’s water supply and no stone will be left unturned.

The Chief Minister inaugurated  eight jetting machines at a cost of Rs.4.75 crore, one Poclean machine at a cost of Rs.0.6 crore, two infra red hole repair machines at a cost of Rs. 4 crore, one fire brigade with a special ladder at a cost of Rs.9 crore and others. He said that with these machines, the functioning of the municipal corporation will be smoother, which will give a new look to the industrial city. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the state government has no dearth of funds for the development of the city and therefore no stone will be left unturned.

The Chief Minister said that if the municipal corporation needs more funds for the infrastructure of the city, the state government will provide the funds on a priority basis. He said that the state government is committed to provide modern facilities to the people of the city. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that this project is a New Year’s gift for the people of Ludhiana and more such deals will be given to the entire Punjab in the coming days.
