Barnala: The news of the death of newly married Arshdeep Kaur (21 years old) daughter of Ajmer Singh, resident of Nanaksar Road, Bhadaur, in suspicious circumstances, has come to light. The family of the deceased has accused the in-laws of strangling and torturing her to death.
Gurpreet Singh, son of Bhagat Singh, the uncle of the deceased girl Arshdeep Kaur, said that Arshdeep Kaur was married to Balwinder Singh, son of Darshan Singh, resident of Baba Farid Nagar, Bathinda, on October 11, 2024. A few days after the marriage, the in-laws started harassing the girl and also beat her up, which Arshdeep had told them a few days ago, who had come here to visit her parents’ village and had happily gone to her in-laws’ house four days ago.
Gurpreet Singh said that they also had a video call with Arshdeep, after which at 4 pm we received a call that her health has suddenly deteriorated and is in Badial Hospital, Bathinda. After a few minutes the family received a call again that Arshdeep Kaur had died. He said that the hospital staff also told them that Arshdeep was brought to the hospital dead.
He said that there were injury marks on her neck and her hands were tied, which clearly shows that her in-laws had killed Arshdeep Kaur and put her to death.
Gurpreet Singh said that a case has been registered against Arshdeep Kaur’s husband Balwinder Singh, son of Darshan Singh, mother-in-law Bant Kaur, father-in-law Darshan Singh and her maternal grandfather in connection with the murder of Arshdeep Kaur
