NIA probe on in VHP leader Vikas Bagga murder case, 4 gangsters brought on production warrant

The police has been interrogating them for the last four days. The accused will be produced in the court again tomorrow.

Mohali: The Central National Investigation Agency (NIA) had started the investigation into the murder of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader Vikas Bagga in Nangal of Ropar district in Punjab. In this case, the NIA has brought about 4 gangsters from various jails of Punjab on production warrant. The police has been interrogating them for the last four days. The accused will be produced in the court again tomorrow.

The accused brought on production warrant include Surinder Kumar alias Rikka resident of Nawanshahr, Mandeep Kumar alias Mangali alias Mangi resident of Nawanshahr, Gurpreet Ram resident of Pannu Majra, SBS Nagar and Jagjit Raju resident of Mahilpur, district Hoshiarpur.

All were arrested by Punjab Police teams. But after the NIA registered the case, the agency is interrogating the said accused for the first time. In the Prabhakar murder case, the Punjab Police had claimed that the accused have links with Pakistan and the murder was also done at the behest of Pakistan.

Vikas Bagga Murder Case

Let us tell you that on the evening of 13 April, Vikas Prabhakar alias Vikas Bagga, head of VHP Nangal Mandal, was shot dead by two unknown assailants at his shop located on Railway Road, Nangal, Rupnagar. One of the assailants was wearing a helmet and the other had covered his face with a muffler. Police have recovered two .32-bore pistols used in the murder. Police also recovered about 16 live cartridges and one empty cartridge from the accused.
