Chandigarh: In Chandigarh, ahead of the show of the famous Punjabi singer and rapper AP Dhillon, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has issued an alert regarding attacks on Punjabi artists. On Saturday, 2,000 security personnel will be deployed at the rally ground in Sector 25, Chandigarh.

Following inputs from the NIA, the security for AP Dhillon’s show has been intensified. The NIA provided information to the Punjab Police, indicating a possible threat to Punjabi artists.

The Punjab Police has shared this information with the Chandigarh Police. As a result, the security for AP Dhillon’s show has been heightened. Despite the event being held on the outskirts of the city, the same number of security personnel will be deployed as for the Diljit Dosanjh event.

To ensure that no suspicious individuals reach the venue, a parking area has been designated 3 to 4 kilometers away, with shuttle buses providing transport to the event.

For security arrangements, four DSPs and six inspectors will also be deployed. On Friday, a postal team conducted a security inspection of the event. Metal detectors will be installed at all gates of the rally site, and plainclothes policemen will be stationed to monitor suspicious people.

After the NIA’s input, security at the Homeland Society in Mohali, where many Punjabi artists reside, has also been strengthened.
