There were cases of many government schools in Ludhiana in which incomplete projects were inaugurated under the Shiksha Kranti Abhiyan. The opposition raised these matters among people and tried to make it a big issue. Due to this, now the District Education Department has issued new orders regarding the inauguration of developmental works.
District Education Department said that schools in which the infrastructure work is still incomplete will not be inaugurated. The District Education Department has taken these steps to correct the situation rose after the inauguration of incomplete infrastructure work.
As part of the ongoing Shiksha Kranti Abhiyan, some government schools were recently declared “ready” even though the work of classrooms and toilets was not completed there.
Now, the District Education Department has issued clear instructions that no incomplete work should be shown as complete during any inauguration in the future. The concerned coordinators have been asked to thoroughly check every school before any program takes place, ensuring that all classrooms, toilets and other necessary facilities are fully ready for use.
As per govt, Development work will be done in 12 thousand government schools by July 31 The state government had launched a 54-day ‘Shiksha Kranti’ program, under which about 25,000 repair and renovation projects worth Rs 2,000 crore are to be inaugurated in 12,000 government schools by May 31. Each project has a plaque bearing the name of the Chief Minister and Education Minister. However, recent events have raised questions about implementation.
