Not CM Mann, Rajya Sabha MP Sandeep Pathak to take rein of Jalandhar West Bypoll

Jalandhar West Bypoll will be held on July 10. The counting of the votes will be held on July 13.

Jalandhar: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will not take charge of the by-election campaign of the Aam Aadmi Party in Jalandhar. This time the party is making a new experiment by giving command of the election to someone other than CM himself. As per party sources, the responsibility of the Campaign has been handed over to Organization General Secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Sandeep Pathak.

The CM will arrive for campaigning in the last phase. Before CM Mann, 23 senior leaders including two MPs, four ministers, and MLAs are going to campaign for Mohinder Bhagat. The Aam Aadmi Party made this decision when it faced defeat in 10 out of 13 seats in the Lok Sabha elections.

Not only this, the command of the campaign in the Lok Sabha elections was completely in the hands of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. The name of the Chief Minister was also added to the slogan prepared for the campaign in the Lok Sabha elections – Bhagwant Mann in Parliament.

If we look at these elections from the political side, then the results of the by-elections within just a month of AAP’s defeat in 10 out of 13 Lok Sabha seats will tell the people’s view on the performance of the government.

In such a situation, it is inevitable that this will have an impact on the political career of the leader leading the campaign committee. In such a situation, keeping the CM away from the campaign will prove to be strategically wise.
