The Punjab-Haryana High Court has issued a notice to the Punjab government on the petition of dismissed DSP Gursher Sandhu in the Lawrence Bishnoi interview case. Let us tell you that both the notices sent by Gursher Singh for investigation of the FIR registered in the interview case have been challenged in the High Court. On this petition, the High Court has issued a notice to the Punjab Home Secretary and ADGP Provisioning and sought a reply.
What was said in the petition?
Dismissed DSP Gursher Singh Sandhu has filed a petition in the High Court and said that he has already appeared as a witness before the SIT in the investigation of the Lawrence Bishnoi case. But when the SIT investigating the case made him an accused in this case last year, the government took action against him and dismissed him without giving any notice. He has already challenged the dismissal orders in the High Court. But now he was first sent notices on May 23 and then later on May 26 to join the investigation. He had also replied to these notices that Lawrence Bishnoi was in the custody of AGTF from the beginning, he was never in their custody, despite this he is being harassed in this case.
Sandhu also said that the alleged main accused channel and its journalist in this case have got relief from the Supreme Court, after which he has also filed a petition in the Supreme Court. Despite this, notices are being sent to him continuously. Therefore, Gursher Sandhu has now demanded that the High Court cancel this notice and has said that when he has already appeared as a witness in this case, then how can notices be sent to make him an accused in this case.
Demand to summon the complete record of the case
Along with this, a demand has also been made to summon the complete record of the Lawrence Bishnoi interview case from the High Court, so that the truth can come out. The High Court has issued notices to the Punjab Home Secretary and ADGP Provisioning on the petition, seeking their response.
