Railway Ticket checker turns Guardian Angel: provided security to runaway Girls

Punjab: On 4 June 2024, ticket checking staff Shri Dharam Raj found three minor girls sitting on platform number one of Ludhiana railway station during ticket checking. When Shri Dharam Raj asked them about the ticket, they told that they did not have any ticket.

Shri Dharam Raj got suspicious and tactfully questioned the girls, then they told that they were running away from home to Mumbai without informing their parents. To ensure that the girls do not fall into the wrong hands, Shri Dharam Raj asked the girls to tell their home address and mobile number. After this, all the girls provided the mobile numbers of their parents.

Raj immediately contacted the parents of all the girls and informed them about the reality. The parents of the girls thanked the railway administration and after some time they reached Ludhiana station. The three girls were handed over to their families after verification in front of the Government Railway Police.

Ticket checking staff Shri Dharamraj and Shri Hansraj Meena have done a wonderful job in saving these girls. Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Shri Paramdeep Singh Saini announced to give a certificate to both the ticket checking staff for this commendable work so that other ticket checking staff also get inspired and do commendable work.
