Punjab: On Thursday, a sudden fire broke out in the ATM of Axis Bank located at the bus stand in Sangrur, Punjab. The fire was so fierce that it engulfed the entire ATM. Soon the ATM machine of the bank also caught fire and was reduced to ashes. The reason for the fire is not yet known.
After the fire broke out in the ATM located inside the bus stand, there was a stampede among the people. As soon as the information was received, the fire brigade personnel reached and controlled the fire, but by then the entire shop had been burnt to ashes.
There was no fire extinguisher installed nearby or at the bus stand to extinguish the fire, after which the nearby copy-book shops were evacuated. People told that there is no fire extinguisher at the bus stand, the responsibility of which lies with the District Sangrur Administration and Bus Stand Sangrur Administration, which is a big negligence.
People told that when we got information about this, we started controlling the fire with buckets and called the fire department to the spot and within a few minutes they arrived and the fire was controlled.
