The Punjab government has declared April 14 (Monday) as a public holiday across the state to mark the birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the principal architect of the Indian Constitution.

Chandigarh: Police in Punjab on Saturday claimed to have arrested a prime accused involved in the grenade attack at BJP leader Manoranjan Kalia’s residence in Jalandhar.  Earlier on April 07 an explosion occurred at the residence of the Kalia, located in Central Town Jalandhar. Preliminary investigations had revealed a larger conspiracy orchestrated by Pakistan’s ISI.
