Jalandhar News: Lakhs of Commuters on Jalandhar-Panipat National highway get a major relief as the service lanes on under construction Dakoha Vehicle Underpass have been constructed by National Highway Authority of India.
Warning was issued by DC on Sept 19 to build service roads in 15 days or to face swift action
On September 19, Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal who was personally monitoring the progress of project had given a warning to build the service lanes till October 4, said that NHAI had given a report about the proper functional of both service lanes, resulting in ease out the traffic congestion on road.
Deputy Commissioner said that senior officials of officials led by SDM were regularly visiting the site to ensure speedy completion of the project.
He said that the project was moving at a snail’s pace and due to potholed service lanes, the commuters were harried a lot.
Later, NHAI officials told the Deputy Commissioner that notice had been issued to the concerned agency and a team had been deputed to supervise the work to ensure timely completion.
