Person stole the donation box from temple in Chandigarh arrested

He has been committing thefts earlier as well; 15 gas cylinders were recovered. He used to commit the crime of drug crime. 

Chandigarh: The police have arrested an accused who stole the donation box from the Gogamedi temple located in Phase-1 Ram Darbar, Chandigarh. Recently, the police registered a case against an unknown person on the complaint of priest Rajesh Kumar.

The police had registered this case under 305 Indian Justice Code and 312 Indian Justice Code. The police had searched the CCTV cameras around the spot. After this, the police got a clue about the accused. The arrested accused has been identified as Rahul, a resident of Ram Darbar.

According to the information received from the police, the arrested accused committed many incidents of theft in this area earlier as well. The accused has also confessed this to the police during interrogation. After interrogation, the police also recovered 15 gas cylinders from the accused and he had stolen from different places. The police are likely to reveal many more crimes from this. The police are questioning the accused.

There is a possibility of many more crimes being revealed during the interrogation.

In the initial interrogation, the police learned that the accused was addicted to drugs. He used to commit thefts only to satisfy his addiction. He used to buy drugs by selling the stolen goods here and there at cheap prices. The police are also questioning the accused about the people who used to supply drugs to him. After this, the police will also tighten the noses of these people. A clue has also been found from the arrested accused.
