Tarn Taran: In Tarn Taran, three criminals coming from Naushera opened fire when the police party chased them. In response, the police also retaliated. In this encounter, two accused were injured by bullets, while one was arrested on the spot.
The police have identified the accused as Arshdeep Singh, Robin and Karandeep. According to the information, the police came to know about the movement of these miscreants. They were coming from village Kheda towards Naushera. After which the police laid a trap and tried to catch the accused.
As soon as the police signaled them to stop, the youths suddenly started firing at the police. To save themselves and stop the accused, the police also retaliated, in which Gopi Arshdeep and Robin were injured, while Karandeep was arrested safely.
Treatment of the injured continues
The injured accused were immediately admitted to a nearby hospital where they are undergoing treatment. The police said that the initial investigation is being conducted to find out the purpose for which the three youths were coming.
According to sources, the criminal history of the arrested youths is being investigated. The police is also trying to find out whether they are connected to any big gang and whether they were planning to commit any crime.
Intensive investigation of the matter is ongoing
SHO Baljinder Singh says that a detailed investigation is being conducted in this case and strict legal action will be taken against the accused. It will also be investigated whether this case is connected to any big criminal network or whether these youths were going to commit any crime.
