In view of the festive season, The Police Department has started night domination and shifting nakas in the city for nailing the criminal elements and maintaining law and order.
On Hoshiarpur Phagwara Jalandhar bypass, DIG Jalandhar Range Naveen Singla and with him SSP Hoshiarpur Surendra Lamba and Jalandhar Rural Range SSP Daljit Singh and Kapurthala SSP Gaurav along with SPs of three districts launched night domination campaign in Jalandhar range.
Night checking was done by DIG Jalandhar Range where vehicles were checked at night by the police. As per police officials, more than 1000 police personnel were deployed and more than 100 patrolling vans were conducting the check here in Jalandhar.
DIG said that paramilitary force has also been deployed and they are also doing the checking. Strict monitoring is also being done on interstate check posts. DIG appealed to the general public to support them in the checking. He also urged people to inform them about any mischievous culprit so that the police can catch them on the spot.
