Punjab government has approved the acquisition of 6,285 acres of land to develop 9 new sectors in Mohali

Preparations are underway to acquire 6,285 acres of land to develop 9 new sectors in Mohali, Punjab. Giving a significant boost to urban development, the Punjab government has approved the acquisition of 6,285 acres of land to develop 9 new sectors in Mohali and streamline pending development works in five already developed sectors.

The Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA) will develop parts of new sectors 84, 87, 103, 120, 121, 122, 123, 124 and 101.

Apart from this, the left-hand areas of sectors 76, 77, 78, 79 and 80 will also be developed under the government’s plan. Sector 84 will be developed as an institutional area, Sector 87 as commercial, Sectors 101 and 103 as industrial, while all the remaining sectors 120 to 124 and Sectors 76 to 80 will be developed as residential areas.
