Chandigarh : Voting for Lok Sabha elections is going to take place in Punjab on June 1. All the parties have started putting in their strength for this last phase of voting across the country. All India Congress Committee General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi is coming on Punjab tour. She will campaign in Fatehgarh Sahib Lok Sabha constituency, the land of martyrs.
Rally being held in Khanna, all preparations complete
This Nyaya Sankalp rally of Congress is being held in Khanna Assembly constituency which comes under Fatehgarh Sahib. Since Khanna is in the middle of all the nine assembly constituencies, the rally is being held here. Located on the road from Khanna to Samrala.
The pandal has been decorated in Rahaun Mandi. Senior leadership of Punjab Congress will also be present here. Priyanka will campaign for Congress candidate Dr Amar Singh.
Helipad built in the stadium, security tightened
Priyanka Gandhi will first come directly to Chandigarh from Delhi. She will reach khanna in helicopter from Chandigarh. A helipad has been built in the stadium of Khanna’s AS College.
From there, Priyanka’s convoy of vehicles will reach the rally venue, about one and a half kilometers away. After which Priyanka will leave for Patiala in helicopter. Dr. Amar Singh told that she will reach Khanna at around 11:30.
