Today, some people together blocked the Jalandhar-Jammu National Highway in Jalandhar, Punjab. People laid a carpet on the highway and then started shouting slogans. Along with this, Sikh organizations that reached the spot started reciting Sat Nam Waheguru on the said highway. Due to the highway being blocked, a line more than 2 kilometers long was formed on the highway.
However, vehicles were being taken out for essential work. This includes ambulances and other services. According to the information received, this protest has been organized near Bhogpur Main Bazaar on the Jalandhar Jammu Highway. This protest is being done against the CNG plant to be set up in the sugar mill and slogans are being raised against the government. This highway has been blocked under the leadership of Adampur MLA Sukhwinder Kotli.
Let us tell you that there has been a dispute about the said CNG plant earlier also. Many times before, Bhogpur residents have protested along with Congress MLA Sukhwinder Singh Kotli. Then Congress MLA Sukhwinder Singh Kotli had said that the people of Bhogpur will suffer a lot due to the setting up of a CNG plant. Discussions have been held several times on this issue at the government level and official level, but no solution has been found.
