Patiala: 5 young men from Haryana were injured in a tragic accident, out of which one is in critical condition and 2 other died on the spot. All the friends had gone to Sangrur in Punjab to attend a ring ceremony.
While returning, there was dense fog in Patiala at around 3 am on Saturday. Due to the fog, the driver could not see the road ahead clearly and the car overturned. The accident was so terrible that two young men died on the spot.
As soon as the Punjab Police got information about the accident, they immediately reached the spot. The police immediately admitted the injured youth to the nearest hospital. The condition of one of the three injured is said to be critical.
Friend’s ring ceremony was in Sangrur
According to the information, 4 friends of Jakhal Mandi, Anshul Garg, Atul Goyal, Himanshu Goyal, Cherry Khippal left for Dirba in Sangrur in the evening in a car to attend the ring ceremony of one of their friend. On the way, another friend boarded the car at Munak. After the program was over, all were returning to Jakhal in the car late night.
Visibility poor due to fog, car collided with divider
According to the information, when they reached near village Dugal in Pattran area of Patiala, the car collided with the divider due to poor visibility in the fog. Anshul and Atul died on the spot in the accident. On the information of passersby, the Punjab Police team reached the spot and took care of the injured.
Himanshu has been referred to Patiala as he suffered serious injuries, while Cherry and the youth from Munak survived as they suffered less injuries. As soon as the information about the accident was received, the relatives of the deceased reached the hospital. Here after postmortem, the bodies will be handed over to the relatives.
Both were unmarried
Both the deceased youths were unmarried. They were about 25 years old. Atul had a rice sheller business while Anshul had a transport business.
