Day 3 of Punjab Assembly Special Session: Govt may introduce anti-sacrilege law today

Chandigarh, July 14: Today is the third day of the special session of the Punjab Assembly. During this, the government can present the draft of the law on sacrilege in the assembly today. However, there is no mention of it in the agenda released by the assembly. Today the session will start at 2 pm.

The government on Friday extended the duration of the session till July 15. There will be no question hour at the beginning of the session today, as Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhawa has already said that there is no question hour in a special session.

At the beginning of the session, independent MLA Indra Pratap Singh will present an attention motion regarding the danger of floods in low-lying areas. Then the minister can also present the annual report of Punjab State Seed Corporation Limited from the year 2017-18 to 2021-22 and the order of the Finance Department required under Section 63 of the Punjab Public Procurement Transparency Act, 2019.
