Barnala: Punjab police special task force and Drug Control Department busted a factory manufacturing fake and intoxicated medicines in Barnala. STF arrest Four accused namely Director Sissu Pal son of Pawan Kumar, Nisha Rani wife of Sisu Pal resident of Arya Samaj Block Dhuri, District Sangrur, firm owner Dinesh Bansal son of Ashok Kumar resident.

Drug control department officials said that fake and banned intoxicated medicines worth more than Rs 1 crore has been seized. officials said that STF Staff Patiala and team of drug control department had raided the Aajaan Pharmaceutical Private Limited, Naivala Road Barnala on complaint. Factory manufacturing banned medicines and selling them without bills in market directly.

In the leadership of Drug Control Officer Barnala Preneet Kaur, Drug Control Officer Committee took samples of 95060 capsules of Pregabalin-300 MG, 7.18 kg of packing and labeling material, 15.5 kg of aluminum roll, 71 kg of Pregabalin API raw material from the factory. 24 kg of Tapedtadol raw material, 2,17,940 tablets of Zapdol 100 SR B No ATDC 24063 were recovered from the pickup vehicle numbered PB65AZ-9437 and were taken into custody in separate parcels.

7 samples of medicines were obtained on the spot, which will be sent to the concerned laboratory. The estimated value of the recovered medicines is around Rs 1.16 crore. Fake rubber stamps, which were used to print fake batches of medicines, were also seized from the spot.
