Tribute program in Chandigarh for Vijay Rupani: BJP leaders to attend today

Many leaders, including Haryana CM Nayab Saini, Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya and Punjab BJP President Sunil Jakhar, will attend this function.

According to the information, the Ludhiana by-election was going on earlier. So, at that time, no tribute program was held at the state level. However, the senior leadership was busy with the elections. So, a program was organised in Ludhiana itself. Programs were held in the districts. Apart from this, Punjab BJP chief Sunil Jakhar went to Gujarat and met the family.

He was busy with Ludhiana by-election for three months

Vijay Rupani was infusing new energy into the state BJP as the BJP’s vote share increased in Punjab in the Lok Sabha elections 2024. Be it a small or big election, Rupani was seen fully active in it. Talking about the Ludhiana West constituency by-election, Vijay Rupani had started planning for it 3 months ago. 3 months ago i.e. in April, he came to Ludhiana and brainstormed about the elections in a closed room with the district officials and workers.

BJP’s graph increased in Punjab

BJP’s vote percentage increased in Lok Sabha elections. In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, voting was held on 1 June for 13 seats in Punjab. Out of these 13 seats, Congress got 7, AAP got 3, Shiromani Akali Dal got 1 and Independents got 2 seats. BJP’s account was not opened. But in this election, BJP’s vote percentage increased by about 8.93 as compared to 2019. The vote percentage in 2019 was 9.63, which increased to 18.56 percent in 2024.
