The leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann are campaigning ahead of the by-elections for four seats in Punjab on November 20. They are conducting roadshows and rallies across all circles. Additionally, party supremo Arvind Kejriwal will become active starting November 9. During this period, he will conduct election campaigns in Chabbewal, Dera Baba Nanak, and Gidderbaha on November 10.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will also be accompanying him. However, all party in-charges and ministers are already active in their respective circles. They are engaging with the public about the government’s accomplishments over the past two and a half years. CM Mann was active in Gidderbaha on Tuesday, and today he will be in Chabbewal, where he has two programs lined up.

He will address the public at Pandori Bibi Gurudwara, Harkhowal at 12 PM and at Lavan Kiraya Marriage Hall, Bahowal at 2:30 PM. Previously, he has conducted two programs in the area. As the head of AAP, the Chief Minister is taking these elections seriously. While these elections may not impact the state’s power dynamics, they will certainly maintain the government’s credibility.

In contrast, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is still distant from the election campaign, with party president Sunil Jakhar absent, while central minister Ravneet Singh Bittu is leading the charge. He has conducted election meetings in Gidderbaha and will now be active in Barnala. The party has also released a list of 40 star campaigners, some of whom may come to Punjab.

Meanwhile, the Congress party is still operating with the support of local leaders. A few days ago, they formed a strategy committee for the elections with Pratap Singh Bajwa appointed as the coordinator, along with seven other senior leaders. Additionally, the Shiromani Akali Dal is maintaining distance from the elections this time and will not be contesting.”
