Punjab CEO Sibin C issues final voter list, over 2.14 crore voters to cast vote on June 1

Chief Electoral Officer Sibin C said that May 4 was the last date for making new votes in Punjab and the forms submitted till May 4 were to be disposed of by May 14.

Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Electoral Officer Sibin C has released the final list of total voters of Punjab for Lok Sabha Elections 2024. A total of 2 crore 14 lakh 61 thousand 739 (2,14,61,739) voters will cast their votes for the elections to be held in Punjab on June 1, 2024.

Chief Electoral Officer Sibin C said that May 4 was the last date for making new votes in Punjab and the forms submitted till May 4 were to be disposed of by May 14.

According to the voter list released today, the total number of voters in Punjab is 2 crore 14 lakh 61 thousand 739 (2,14,61,739). It has 1 crore 12 lakh 86 thousand 726 (1,12,86,726) male voters, 1 crore 1 lakh 74 thousand 240 (1,01,74,240) female voters and 773 other voters.

He said that 5 lakh 38 thousand 715 voters belong to the 18-19 age group who will vote for the first time. Similarly, 1 lakh 89 thousand 855 voters are above 85 years of age. The number of disabled voters is 1 lakh 58 thousand 718. Sibin C said that there will be a total of 24,451 polling stations for 13 Lok Sabha seats, of which 16,517 have been set up in villages and 7,934 in cities. 100 percent photo identity cards have been created in Punjab.

He said that the team of Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officers is working hard to make all the arrangements for the convenience of the voters at the polling booths. He appealed to the voters to vote more and more to fulfill the target of ’70 par this time’.
