While on December 27, there will be hailstorm in many districts of Punjab and winds will blow at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers. For this, the department has issued an orange alert. The temperature will also drop. However, in the last 24 hours, the average maximum temperature has increased by 1.8 degrees. Now it has reached close to normal.

Alert issued for these districts today

For today, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert for cold wave and dense fog for Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahr, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ferozepur, Fazilka, Faridkot, Muktsar, Moga, Bathinda and Ludhiana. The Meteorological Department has advised people to go out of the house only when necessary.

Night temperature is also falling continuously in Punjab. Night temperature has been recorded between 4.2 degrees to 8 degrees in all districts. The lowest temperature of 4.2 degrees has been recorded in Faridkot. At the same time, the average minimum temperature of the state has fallen by 0.9 degrees.

The situation will remain the same in the coming time. At the same time, holidays have been declared in all the schools of Punjab till 31 December due to cold.
