Block-Level planning for water conservation

CM Mann emphasized that under the proposed plan, detailed strategies will be developed at the block level to manage and conserve water resources effectively. the approach will cover both irrigation needs and portable water supply for residents.

Groundwater protection for future generations

Highlighting the urgent need to conserve groundwater, the Chief Minister said, Every drop of Punjab’s water is precious, whether for irrigation or drinking.”

He stressed the importance of taking special measures to preserve underground water, ensuring that future generations are not deprived of this critical resource.

Sustainable Use of resources

The Chief Miister also stated that the state government is committed to long term water sustainability. The Integrated Water Plan will will act as a guiding framework for scientific water use, better storage, and more efficient irrigation systems, especially in the face of climate change and declining water tables.
