Chandigarh, May 16: During felicitating the students who topped PSEB class 10th and 12th CM Bhagwant Mann said that in the ongoing war against drugs in Punjab, the youth who top class 10th and 12th will now become role models. Through them, the government will advise the youth to stay away from drugs. Apart from this, players of hockey and other sports will also be included in this campaign.

He advised the youth that if the results are not as per their expectations, they should not be disappointed. He said, “Even a stopped clock shows the correct time twice a day, so we are alive.” However, he also mentioned the zero per cent result of 18 schools in Haryana and said that thankfully, this is not the case in Punjab.

Now, career guidance is also available in schools

CM said that all the toppers are an honour for him. For him, everyone is first. However, the pass formula is based on age. He told the youth that this stage is important for you. After this, the turning point of your career is to come, so you should get the right path. For this, career guidance is being done by the Punjab government. Earlier, these things were not told, due to which many times people used to choose the wrong option on the advice of others. Now there are a lot of career options. Whatever you decide to do, complete it and then move on.

Books can change your life

The CM said that if a child realises that this book can change his life, then he will read with passion. He said that Malwa is in the top three and children from small villages are doing wonders. He said that villagers have a lot of passion for progress, which is a good thing.

Always remember your roots

Punjab’s youth are not behind in any field. In the US aircraft manufacturing company Boeing, there are more than 200 Punjabi engineers, out of which 70 are from Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana. Similarly, there are 50 Indians in Microsoft, most of whom are Punjabis. He said that many opportunities will come to you, so do not panic at all. Congratulations to those who came first. Do not become arrogant after coming first. Progress as much as you want, but always remember your roots. Give respect to those who were a part of your success.

The result of 10th class was 95.60%

According to the information, the result of PSEB’s 10th class has been 95.60%. While the result of 12th class has been 91%. Girls were in all three positions. This is not the first time that the CM is going to meet the students. He has met students and teachers who have done better work earlier also.

This is not the first time CM Bhagwant Mann is engaging directly with students. He has previously met with high-performing students and teachers who have made significant contributions in the field of education.
