Ludhiana : Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains reached Ludhiana today. Bains talked to a total of 700 students participating in the 25-day summer camp going on at the Meritorious School near Rose Garden. He also asked the students about the training they received for NEET, IIT and JEE.
Harjot Singh Bains said that this summer camp was organized for the last 25 days for 700 children of School of Eminence. Teachers from the best institutions trained these children, so that the children could pass exams like NEET, IIT and JEE.
The children also had to face many challenges. This camp is ending tomorrow. He said, I often keep talking to the trainers. The students enjoyed this camp a lot. The children got to learn a lot. Mutual harmony was seen among the children who came from different cities of Punjab. A similar camp was organised in winters as well.
14 thousand children took admission
Last year there were 8 thousand children. This year 14 thousand children have taken admission. So far, 14 out of 117 schools are ready and running. While 13 more schools are ready which will be launched on 15th August. Work is going on at a fast pace in the remaining schools. Students have already got admission in about 100 schools. The number of children has doubled in just one year. The government’s target is to make 117 schools better.
Primary teachers will be sent to Finland
In many places like Moga, Mansa or Ludhiana, there are many schools which cannot be improved, they will be rebuilt. A delegation of head teachers will be sent to Finland. School of Happiness will be started this year. Punjab will be the only state in the whole of India where School of Happiness will be started. Work will be done for primary education in this school.
The education department is alert about monsoon. There are about 20 thousand schools. All DEOs are inspecting the school buildings. There are about 1200 schools where rainwater enters. Water discharge system has been installed in about 350 schools. There are about 500 schools which will be made new.
The government has stopped the money for Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan. According to the PAB report, till now Punjab has improved the education level in the entire country. Punjab has used the money properly.
