Chandigarh: Taking action against corruption, the Punjab government has transferred Clerks (Munshi) of 191 police stations in the state. All of them were posted in one police station for more than two years.
This information was given by Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema in a press conference. He said that transfer orders have been issued today itself. Our government will end corruption at all costs. Recently, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann had taken a decision in this regard. After this, action has been taken in this direction.
The decision was taken by the CM
Harpal Singh Cheema said that some complaints were received that the SHO, SSP and DSP staff keep changing in police stations But Clerks (Munshi) remain in the same police station for years, but there is a possibility of corruption if they stay for more than two years. In many places, clerks were posted for eight to ten years. Recently, the CM had decided that any clerk who is posted in a police station for more than two years will be transferred. After this, this transfer has been done now.
People are feeling relieved by our action
Harpal Singh Cheema said that our party has emerged from the war against corruption. In such a situation, it is clear that wherever our government is formed, corruption will be eradicated from there. First our government was formed in Delhi, after that in 2022 the Aam Aadmi Party government was formed in Punjab. Bhagwant Mann became the Chief Minister of Punjab. The war against corruption has been going on for three years. Corruption at any level has been eradicated. Some time ago, complaints were received against Patwari, Revenue Officers and Tehsildars, on which action was taken. People are feeling relieved.
