Jalandhar: The Punjab Government has announced a paid holiday on 10th January 2024 (Wednesday) in view of the by-elections for the voters of Jalandhar West Vidhan Sabha constituency. Bypoll for the seat will be held on July 10 for which a paid holiday has been announced for people who work in shops and commercial establishments.
Giving information in this regard, the official spokesperson said that two notifications have been issued in this regard. According to these notifications, the Governor of Punjab has declared a holiday with pay on 10-07-2024 (Wednesday) for voters of all shops and commercial establishments in 34-Jalandhar West (SC) Constituency.
The spokesperson further said that as per the notification, the Governor of Punjab has said that voters of 34-Jalandhar West (SC) Constituency who work in the registered factories of Punjab State, where there is no holiday on 10th July 2024. A weekly holiday has been declared on July 10.
