Chandigarh: In a big gift for all the electricity employees, Punjab’s Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann Government has launched Accident Compensation policy. The details of the policy were shared by Minister of Power Harbhajan Singh ETO. While sharing the details of the policy, Harbhajan Singh ETO said that compensation will be provided to those employees who suffer accidents while on duty. He also told that Advance of Rs 3 lakh will be given for the treatment to the such employees.
Ex-gratia amount for contractual employees is also being increased from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh. Under this Compensation act 1923, compensation will be given to everyone irrespective of the age limit.
