Cheema further pointed out that the eradication of drugs in the state hinges on creating sustainable employment opportunities for the youth. “Providing jobs is the cornerstone of tackling the drug problem. When young people have meaningful work, they are less likely to fall prey to substances abuse,” Cheema stressed.
In his speech, Cheema also highlighted the importance of collaboration with farmers. ” We have had numerous discussions with our farmer brothers about clearing the pathways for growth and development. This is essential for opening new avenues that will not only combat the drug problem but also foster economic growth across Punjab.”
