A procession is being taken out today on the Jalandhar-Ludhiana Highway in Punjab on the birth anniversary of Shri Guru Ravidas Ji. Due to this procession there has been a long traffic jam on the highway. Thousands of vehicles are stuck on the highway and passengers are facing problems.
Today, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Shri Guru Ravidas, a procession started from his holy place Chak Hakima at around 11 in the morning. Tableaus are being taken out on many tractor trolleys in the procession. Due to which the jam started from Lovely Professional University earlier in the morning.
But in the afternoon it reached Jalandhar. Long lines of vehicles have formed on the highway. Vehicles are badly stranded from Phagwara to Phillaur. People are coming from Jalandhar to Ludhiana and from Ludhiana to Jalandhar through alternative routes.
But due to vehicles, there is a traffic jam on these too. However, the police is trying to clear the jam and traffic is being diverted from many places
