Punjab Police Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) have caught the culprits of the Tarn Taran Firing Incident. AGTF officials said that they arrested two accused but one is a juvenile.
Punjab Police DGP Gaurav Yadav also shared the information on his social media handle and said that in a breakthrough, Anti-Gangster Task Force Punjab apprehended Ajaydeep Singh and a juvenile in connection with the firing incident on 11.03.2025 in Valtoha Sandhuan village of Tarn Taran district.

Both the accused had opened fire on Sarpanch Jarmal Singh and his driver. Both accused were on motorcycle. DGP Gaurav Yadav said that Sarpanch Jarmal Singh and his driver sustained injuries when unidentified motorcycle-borne assailants opened fire near Valtoha village.
DGP said that an FIR stands registered at PS Valtoha in connection with the firing incident. Preliminary investigations link the attack to an extortion attempt by foreign-based gangster Prabhjit Singh alias Prabh Dasuwal, who demanded ₹30 lakh.
